The program was launched in 2017 with an aim to attract bright and passionate talent from top universities across the globe, who are interested in renewable energy, sustainability, the energy transition, and related topics which concern clean energy and are looking to build a career in this sector. We envision GGSP as a channel to attract the best talent to this sector by giving them exposure and learning while promoting diversity and the exchange of ideas. The intention is to attract the best global young talent with good technical and business acumen to work on specific projects with business and strategic outputs. The ideal candidates should be adaptable and resilient to changing circumstances, especially in terms of working in India as well as far away from home.
Historically, we have had 30 GGSP scholars from universities like Stanford University, Princeton University, University of Columbia, MIT, London School of Economics, Oxford from UK, Harvard University, etc.

The scholars work closely with experienced leaders at ReNew and are assigned a mentor to guide them in the execution of their project.

Undergraduate and graduate students with an outstanding academic record, currently pursuing their studies in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Data Science and Policy Management from an institution of repute are eligible to apply. My specific project involves analysing different political, economic and technical levers to reduce the production costs of Green Hydrogen and make it cost competitive compared to Grey Hydrogen. That will help the team to customize their solutions offered to clients and advise government institutions on the necessary regulations to accelerate the transition to Green Hydrogen. As part of this initiative, ReNew hires Diploma Engineers specializing in key disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, and Civil Engineering. The program combines hands-on experience, technical training, and mentorship to enable these young professionals to contribute effectively to critical business operations.
Training Structure:
Classroom sessions cover a vast range of technical topics critical for renewable energy operations.
Site exposure focuses on hands-on learning, safety protocols, and real-world applications. 2 weeks of practical training at ReNew’s Solar and Windfarm sites, enables trainees to connect classroom learnings with on-ground realities.
Training Completion and Evaluation:
Examinations and Periodic Tests: Conducted throughout the training period to ensure progress and understanding.
Board Examination: At the end of the training program, trainees undergo a final board examination. Certificates are awarded to qualifying candidates.
GWO Certification: Qualified wind trainees receive GWO Certificates for “Working at Heights” and “Wind Farm Safety.”
Allocation of Site Locations:
Based on training performance and company requirements, trainees are allocated to their respective site locations post the 60-day training program.
They join various business verticals, including Manufacturing, EPC, RenServ, HSE, and others across the Solar and Wind divisions.

ReLead is a business case study competition open to selected premier B-school students in India. The case study will focus on business issues that will help ReNew make strategic and financial decisions in our journey towards becoming the most innovative clean energy solution provider.
Pre-screening round
Registration window opens for about 7 days for teams to register and confirm their participation in the competition. Registered teams then proceed to the Case launch and solution preparation stage. The case question is published on the website. Sufficient time is given to all the registered teams to prepare a case solution.
Campus round
After the case solutions are submitted by the teams, they undergo a thorough evaluation by our dedicated ReLead Campus Evaluator team. We select the top three teams from each campus, who are then invited to participate in the Campus Round.
The Campus Round will be a virtual event where the three teams will present their solutions to our panel. Your college students will be invited to attend the event so that they can also be part of the evaluation by "Voting for their ReLead Star" after the Campus Round.
National round
During the National Final Round, our judges will challenge students to think deeply about the solutions they have provided. The national round will be organized at the ReNew Corporate Office in Gurgaon and judged by a high-powered jury. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and participate in pre-placement interviews.
